PUSHKAR : Pushkar, the holy city is located just about 11 km from Ajmer. Along the picturesque Pushkar Lake lies the town of Pushkar with religious significance. Pushkar is one of the important pilgrimage city for Hindus. The main attraction of Pushkar is the Pushkar Lake and the temple of God Brahma. Festivals In Pushkar : Pushkar is also the venue of one of the country's most colourful cattle fairs - the Pushkar Festival. Pushkar Festival takes place in the month of November when the whole of Pushkar is transformed into a spectacular fair ground. During this festival thousands of pilgrims come to bath in the holy water of Pushkar lake and the biggest cattle and camel markets take place here where farmers, breeders and camel traders buy and sell. During this festival there is horse dealing, camel racing, cattle trading and colourful festivities. This annual fair is an unforgettable event when the entire small town of Pushkar is visited by over lakhs of animals and tourists.

Shopping In Pushkar : The bazaars of Pushkar are lined with an assortments of interesting small shops. The people can buy from these shops the silver and beaded jewellery, embroidered fabrics, bed sheets, cushion covers, Rajasthani puppets, books, etc.
